Known for his creative programming and inviting stage presence, Taiwanese-American conductor Wilbur Lin’s career has taken him to symphony halls and opera theaters across the United States, Europe, Latin America, and Taiwan. Lin is currently the music director of the Missouri Symphony and associate conductor of the Colorado Symphony.
Lin’s recent season highlights include his debuts with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and the symphonies of Elgin, Acadiana, and Juneau, an upcoming debut with Symphony Nova Scotia, in addition to his frequent returns to the Taipei Symphony, Ann Arbor Symphony, Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, among others. Lin has previously served as assistant conductor of the Cincinnati Symphony and cover conductor of the Taiwan Symphony and Minnesota Orchestra.
A frequent opera conductor and a student of Riccardo Muti’s, Lin counted among his mentors, David Effron, Arthur Fagen, Clark Rundell, Mark Heron, and Apo Hsu, has received conducting coaching with Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Sir Mark Elder and Helmuth Rilling, among others, and has worked closely with, notably, Peter Oundjian, Louis Langrée, and John Morris Russell.

Wilbur Lin studied with Riccardo Muti at the 2019 Italian Opera Academy in Ravenna, Italy.
